I would be mad as hell if it wasn't for the fact that Sunday was a great day in Atlanta! LOL! My voice is somewhere off MLK and Northside Drive still - got tickets at the last minute and was inside the Dome for Homecoming 09!

I didn't know you got a chance to go. What cracked me up was on the news they were saying that the reception Vick got was mixed. It was mixed alright...from what I saw the white Falcons fans were booing Vick like he was the antichrist, while the black Falcons fans were cheering their lungs out while wearing their Vick jerseys. Ha.

There were so many #7 jerseys up in that place it wasn't even funny...and it was black AND white people IN MASS wearing those jerseys....and the bootleggers made a mint on selling the double jersey..half Falcon/half Eagle!! Hats too!! LMAO You know how WE DO! The local sports talk shows so mad with us they dont know what to do! Oh...the white locals are HOT with the colored folks right NAH! It was a whole lotta Eagles fans that of course joined in cheering for #7 so it just overpowered the lowly "we hate Vick" falcon fans that were there...the whole day was too much for'em! First of all, when the Eagles were announced coming out of the tunnel....Vick led them out....and he was picked to be a gameday captain...we should have ALL known it was about to be ON right then...just something in the air!
and when he scored that first TD...OMG....CHUCH! and the white "i hate vick" folks...they BOLTED...I mean BOLTED from the Dome..MAD. LOL! So then it just got CRUNK. The entire Dome was chanting WE WANT VICK! I was sitting close enough to see McNabb come off the field and tell Reid to put him in! McNabb was smiling the whole time and he came in and a play later made that long 43 yard throw...place went bananas....then he did again what they claim he cant do - made a pass that resulted in a TD....it was ova...it was SOOOOO ova. I mean the Eagles players went crazy themselves all running on the field....the Falcons looked so dejected and pitiful. It was their worst nightmare, it was all these local sports talk bigots worst nightmare come true. Mike Vick came back and TOOK his house...he may as well change his mailing address to THE GEORGIA DOME ATLANTA, GA 30313 LOL

and you can best believe these sports jocks have been bashing US negroes to death for the past 2 days, half their callers (you know the ones) have said the Falcons need to move from Atlanta from this inner-city (yeah they did)...and then the other half are the ones calling saying "GET OVER IT!" LOL

there were two stories that talked about the Eagles players and what they thought going into and during the game, I found one, they were like Vick's big brothers on Sunday!

Let's Get Him In

Before Michael Vick reached the huddle, Jamaal Jackson made one of those statements that might have rung hollow if not for the importance of the situation and the fact that the center, as the leader of the offensive line, was making such a declaration:

Let's get him in.

The line had tried to get Vick his first touchdown post-incarceration. But this was different. Vick was playing in the dome he once called home against the team he once called his. And he was 5 yards away from scoring against Atlanta, 5 yards away from scoring for the first time in three years.

"We talked about it the whole week: 'Let's get him in coming back where he made his name,' " Jackson said Sunday after the Eagles trounced the Falcons, 34-7. "And then he's coming in and I said, 'Let's get him in.' And that was it."

But in the quiet of the Eagles' locker room, a much more important statement was made hours earlier. It was before the game, the 34-7 pounding of the Atlanta Falcons. To hear cornerback Sheldon Brown tell it, there wasn't any great speech or anything like that. It was just some people talking, expressing their sentiments, understanding what this day would mean for Vick, their teammate.

Brown said, "I remember, before we went out, everybody was saying, 'Let's win one for Mike. Let's win one for Mike.' And the guys went out and played for him."

Vick has won over his teammates and this was the clearest demonstration yet. He was welcomed upon his arrival. The Eagles players supported the move to bring him in. They thought he had done his time following the dogfighting conviction and deserved a second chance. They were rooting for him to succeed - because, frankly, rooting for him was rooting for themselves.
