Michael Steele to White Republicans: “I’m on Your Side”
Poor Michael Steele! Apart from the fact that he really does believe that he’s the leader of the Republican Party, it never ceases to be anything other than pure amazement over the things that he actually come out of his mouth on the rare occasions the real RNC leaders let him speak. This past Sunday was no exception when, during an interview on TV One with Roland Martin, in reference to Martin’s observation that white Republicans are afraid of Black folk, Steele actually replied: “You’re absolutely right. I’ve been in the room and they’ve been scared of me.”
Someone really needs to tell Michael that Republicans and especially white Republicans, are not afraid of him. They are afraid of Rush Limbaugh; but they are certainly not afraid of him. But, it gets even better! Michael had to go on to say in the interview – trying to make a point – “I’m like, ‘I’m on your side.”
Can somebody please tell Michael Steele the truth and to be quiet!
