If You Can’t Take The Heat, Get Out of The Kitchen, Tom Tancredo!
Hat tip SouthernGirl
WOW! Markos Moulitsas really dropped skillet on Tom Tancredo. That’s hot… BAM!
Remember the old saying, IF YOU CAN’T TAKE THE HEAT, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN?
Meaning: Don’t persist with a task if the pressure of it is too much for you. The implication being that, if you can’t cope, you should leave the work to someone who can.
So Tom Tancredo goes before the camera and speaks out against government run health care and claims Veterans aren’t happy with the Veterans Administration.
The GOP uses Tancredo to speak on behalf of veterans, a man who sought deferments.
From WSY’s Sepia: “DAYUM! Markos went IN on Tancredo! I didn’t know Tancredo was a member of the Deferment Squad:
In 1970 after Tancredo’s student deferments ran out, he appealed his 1-A draft status, which would have put him at the top of the list for draft eligibility during the Vietnam War. Tancredo was then given a 1-Y status, which put him at the bottom of the list after he reported that he had been treated for mental illness as a teenager. Tancredo said he was diagnosed with depression when he was 16 or 17 and received medication for five years for panic attacks and bouts of anxiety and depression. From the wiki.
Can you see the hypocrisy here? Tom Tancredo didn’t serve in the military. He says he sought and got treatment for his depression, yet he jumps on his soapbox and screams anti government rhetoric against health care for Americans who need it. When he is confronted with his hypocrisy, he screams foul and exits.
Leave the stage Tom; let the big boys take care of health care reform. Health care reform is too important for you and the GOP’s never-ending chicanery, shenanigans, and hoodwinkery. (So, I made up the word… sue me.)
Tom sought another deferment when he walked off the MSNBC set. That is what the GOP do when confronted, they cry and deny, say NO and obstruct, they talk it, but don’t walk it. WEESeeYou, GOP.
IF YOU CAN’T TAKE THE HEAT, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN, TOM TANCREDO! Now run tell that!
Kudos to Markos Moulitsas. You are Saturday’s WSY’s Super hero! KAPOW!
